Works for me. In terms of hard numbers it seems the conference would be out price of the meals and the price of admission for however many free entry tickets were included. Subtracting the current proposed figures for those (I don’t have them at hand) what would be the net amount received for each level of sponsorship?

I presume there will be only one Platinum, which Symas are taking. Could we take a Gold level?
Is it too late to submit a presentation? I'd like to do one on how OpenLDAP powers SureVoIP (http://www.surevoip.co.uk). We use replication, chaining, TLS, Contact Directory, Dynamic Groups, Dynamic ACL's, custom schema. Powers email, XMPP, SMTP, IMAP, Address Book and service access via active/enabled attributes (sudo, ssh keys, ansible) . Just real world things...

Silver: £500 - 2*£175 = £150 (or £250 if we use the Earlybird rate) Gold: £1000 - 4*£175 = £300 (or £500 if we use the Earlybird rate) Platinum: £2000 - 6*£175 = £950 (or £1250 if we use the Earlybird rate)
Sponsors should e-mail their preferred logo in a range of sizes including one for the website (max 100x200 pixels). Once payment reaches UKUUG we will add the logo and link to the website.
Does that look OK?
Kimball: what is the VAT situation here? I assume we would charge VAT to UK entities, but I am not sure how this would be treated for EU and for non-EU entities. I am pretty sure that tickets get VAT charged for everyone as the service is delivered in the UK, but sponsorship may come under a different rule. We need to be clear on the actual cost in the information we send to potential sponsors.

We charge VAT to everyone, as the service is delivered in the UK, all sponsorship benefits are delivered in the UK, so it still applies.

Having checked with Kimball I now know that we have to charge VAT to everyone. Companies that are registered for VAT in an EU country should be able to reclaim the tax through their local tax office, but those outside the EU probably cannot. The effect is:
Silver
- £500
Plus 20% VAT gives a total of £600
Gold
- £1000
Plus 20% VAT gives a total of £1200
Platinum
- £2000
Plus 20% VAT gives a total of £2400
These are still very much below the 2013 figures for each level. I don't recall whether 2013 included VAT or not, but it makes no real difference as if the 2013 event was not VAT registered it would have had to pay (and not reclaim) VAT on everything it bought.
