That looks much better to me.
As to

I would say either we do them or not. If we do them we need a policy for
them. Submissions should be classified as long talk (45min), Short talk
(15), Poster/Lightning talk (5) or Tutorial. And we should have a slot
for the poster slam/lightning talks, which should really be strict (a
gong after 5 minutes and then next please).
As to the text, I would just do:
s/5 minutes for lightning talks/5 minutes for poster presentations or
lightning talks/
